Juxtaposed Memory
When I painted this piece, I was at the peak of my fascination with historical events—specifically the Titanic. Studying the tragedy and the iceberg was deeply depressing. Then I thought, “What if the incident had never happened?” Although my painting isn’t historically accurate, it reflects my juxtaposed memory of the event—reimagining a tragic moment as something hopeful and good.
