Forest Jewel
The scarlet tanager, often called the 'forest jewel,' hides high in the trees—vibrant in color but rough in voice, much like how people may appear cheerful while hiding inner struggles. Despite their beauty, these birds are threatened by deforestation caused by human carelessness. By seeing parts of ourselves in animals like the tanager, we’re reminded that their homes deserve the same respect as our own. I hope this piece encourages empathy and awareness for the creatures we often overlook. Material : Acrylic on Canvas Size : 16 x 12Alyssa Choi
