Beautiful Memory in Korea
During last winter, my family and I visited Gyeongbokgung Palace, Korea's most historic and beautiful palace. Just outside the gates, I noticed an elderly grandma selling hot bungeoppang(Korean fish-shaped pastry) to passersby, her small stand surrounded by clouds of steam rising into the freezing air. What caught my attention, however, was not just the warmth of the food, but the hat she was wearing with a beanie with the word “Seattle” printed across the front.
