The Cost of Ivory
This piece addresses animal poaching and the cruelty of killing animals just for profit. The elephant lies among piles of bones, showing how their bodies are often discarded once their tusks are taken. I used bright colors against a mass of skeletons to create a disturbing contrast—showing how life is taken for something small, while everything else is left behind.
